The base of the seat broke after a year, but the company has replaced it. Good customer service goes a long way. I will buy from them again.Having read other reviews I bought the chair anyway, because I liked what I saw, and I was not disappointed. The chair comes in a very awkward box, but that is due to minimalist packaging practice, so in that respect I was impressed before I even opened it. I was drawn to the design of the chair. It has curb appeal, is out of the norm (which if it is the norm, you should always question it) and it could hold up to inspection for décor,; being that my desk takes up a goodly portion of my living room and needs to flow with home theater and social situations without looking too officy and out of place.1. The base is very sturdy, while having a simplistic beauty other than commercial plastic.2. I am pushing three hundred pounds and I fit well, and felt supported, it is not flimsy.3. The pleather is tight, textures, and very realistic (what you thought you were getting Itallian leather at this price......wake up!)4. You may notice I rated the comfort at a three. This is an office chair. It keeps you in an engaged, upright position to accomplish the work you came to do, and is just soft enough to keep your posterior awake long enough to get it done. this is an exceptional chair for getting the job done in a world of tilting, lumbar supporting slackers. (If you wanted an arm chair, buy a lazy boy and shut up.)Summary, Nice chair, Nice buy, if you like the way it looks, and you want it, get, but don't ask it to be more than it is.I have this four stars for assembly because removing the sleeve to insert it into the chair base requires a utility knife. Otherwise as expected, quick to assemble, comfortable, looks great at the desk.It looks nice, but is not practical and rather uncomfortable. Not good for working from home.Purchased this chair in March 2021. After 9 months of pretty much daily use as my home office chair, something inside the base of the chair has "collapsed" and the chair pretty much wobbles in every direction depending on how I shift my weight in the chair. It was a great chair up to this point so I'm pretty disappointed that I'm now on the hunt for a new office chair.I actually really love this chair with one exception. The lever doesn’t work.I needed an office chair for my old antique desk because the current one is…well…an antique. So instead of matching the desk, I matched the curtains…..perfectly, in fact. While it is perfect height for my current desk, I wish I could adjust it a couple inches up or down. Otherwise, I love the plush seating, the velvet feel, the sturdy support, and rose gold accent on the bottom.When you assemble the chair, it is very pretty to show at a desk or in a house for an office. The one we bought had some minor damages to it, but the customer service quickly resolved and addressed the concerns with the chair. It is a perfect match to the gray desk we put in the office and gives it a very professional appearance.
